Our Lenten them this year was

Spiritual, Physical, and Mental

This theme was incorporated into the meditation guide, Tuesday night Bible studies, youth activities, and Sunday worship services.

We will also took advantage of the photography exhibit by Michael Nye, Hunger, at the Witte Museum to see and hear the stories of individuals whose lives have been affected by hunger.

Holy Spirit Meditation Guide 2010

Holy Spirit has once again put together a mediatation guide. These are reflections and artistic works by the members and friends of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Tuesday Night Bible Studies

Each Tuesday evening in Lent we came together to study scripture and hunger.

We gathered at 6:00 pm for fellowship and a light dinner and began our study at 6:30 pm.

  • Tuesday, March 2, the Bible Study heard a lecture from Ambassador Ertharin Cousin, US Ambassador to UN Agencies for Food and Agriculture. Read her remarks.   • Tuesday, March 9, Tuesday night Bible Study goes to the Witte Museum for exhibit on Hunger. Meet at I-Hop at 5:30 pm or at the Witte entance at 6:20 pm.

  • Sunday, March 28, Congregational trip to the Witte for the poetry and prose readings from local writers, 2:00 pm
